Qualification Questions

While every customer environment is unique, we find that answering “no” to more than 3 of these questions often indicates a potential for serious problems:
1. Do your users know how to reconcile offline work?
2. Do your users know how to recover information from your spec depot?
3. Can non-users access change and job information from their browser or reference such information in email?
4. Can you easily convert your tabular text reports to graphical reports?
5. Do you have standardized rules for user/ group/ branch/ workspace/ label specifications?
6. Do you regularly scan for and deal with anomalous specification entries?
7. Can you manage branch creation without a complex protection table?
8. Can you support case sensitive and case insensitive users on the same server/ branch/ depot??
9. Do you source control your triggers??
10. Can your triggers run standalone?
11. Can you update/ examine trigger sources without server access?
12. Can you distribute p4v tools without a push environment?
13. Does your LDAP authentication have a "back door"?
14. Do you restore from checkpoint at least once a year?
15. Is there a super user group as well as a named super user in your protections table?
